London Calling gets a fresh new look

 In blogs

Back in May 2008, I updated the look and the name of my blog, moving from to on WordPress and a new theme.

After 5 years I’ve decided it is time to give a fresh new look, and a responsive and mobile friendly theme.

After many auditions, I have chosen the very clean Slate WordPress theme from Okay Themes, written by Mike McAlister.

The theme is “responsive” in that it will adapt for any screen size, including mobile.

It also has a bunch of neat widgets that you will see on the right hand side which allow me to present other posts, comments, my social presence and also my tweets.

It is a very flexible theme and I highly recommend Okay Themes – they are well written and good value – Slate cost me just $45.

I’d welcome any comments on the new look below – what do you think?

    I like it, Andrew.

The theme ‘gets out the way’ of the content – allowing people to focus on what matters.

    Nice work!

The discus comments overflow the right hand sidebar on a portrait iPad.
