In 2015, social media is no longer a “nice to have” for travel brands. Social is becoming intertwined in the traveller’s experience using multiple networks, and their default go-to for advice about their next destination. The rise of visual networks such as Instagram and Pinterest afford new opportunities for brands to become deeply involved with a traveller’s entire experience, from planning, to destination. IBM’s Andrew Grill, a blogger himself since 2000 and a frequent business traveller will share his thoughts on where next for social, and how visual storytelling with pictures, and video is the next frontier.
